Contextualising Islam in Britain: Dr Jasser Audah
What does it mean to “contextualise” Islam in Britain and what purpose does it serve, if any? Is contextualising another form of “reforming” Islam by compromising the very principles of Islam?
Or can contextualising Islam within the universal framework of the Shar’ia provide Muslims to live a positive life, fully and faithfully to their religion and to Britain? Could it help Muslims better comprehend their sacred texts to the current context as British citizens?
