Status of Insaaf Amongst Good Manners: Shaykh Al Didou

Shaykh Muhammad Al Hassan Walad Al Didou was asked:

In a previous lecture regarding Good Manners you said that all the manners are confined in Insaaf . What did you mean by that?

Shaykh replied:

What I meant is that Insaaf (Justness, fairness, equity) is the storage of manners. It is like a sack in which all the good manners are gathered. The one having Insaaf always reveres old people and shows mercy towards the younger ones. He is compassionate with the poor people and provides them with charity. He doesn’t take up all of his right (from them) but rather overlooks some of his rights and doesn’t get angry. Because he is characterized with this attribute (Insaaf) which necessitates him that he doesn’t belong to those who are too greedy in appropriating all that they own. Hence it can be said that Insaaf gathers around itself all the noble manners.

Hadith 2

تَكُونُ النُّبُوَّةُ فِيكُمْ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تَكُونَ ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُهَا إِذَا شَاءَ أَنْ يَرْفَعَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خِلَافَةٌ عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ النُّبُوَّةِ فَتَكُونُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تَكُونَ ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُهَا إِذَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَرْفَعَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ مُلْكًا عَاضًّا فَيَكُونُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُهَا إِذَا شَاءَ أَنْ يَرْفَعَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ مُلْكًا جَبْرِيَّةً فَتَكُونُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تَكُونَ ثُمَّ يَرْفَعُهَا إِذَا شَاءَ أَنْ يَرْفَعَهَا ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خِلَافَةً عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ النُّبُوَّةِ ثُمَّ سَكَتَ

“There will be Prophethood for as long as Allah wills it to be, then He will remove it when He wills, then there will be Khilafah on the Prophetic method and it will be for as long as Allah wills, then He will remove it when He wills, then there will be biting Kingship for as long as Allah Wills, then He will remove it when He wills, then there will be oppressive kingship for as long as Allah wills, then he will remove it when He wills, and then there will be Khilafah upon the Prophetic method” and then he remained silent.
